The Story Behind Hills Home Sentinel
We didn’t start this business based on a theory. We started it because of a stressful reality we faced last year.
In 2025, we headed overseas for a dream three-month journey. Like any responsible homeowner in the Hills, we locked up tight, set up mail redirection, and assumed everything would be fine until our return.
We quickly discovered that “holding” mail isn’t the same as checking it. Critical documents were sitting in a warehouse, unable to be processed, and we spent much of our trip with that nagging feeling: “Is the house actually okay?”
“Mid-way through our trip, we received a notification of a massive water bill. A pipe had sprung a leak. Because no one was physically there to walk the property or check the meter, thousands of litres were being wasted while we were on the other side of the world.”
That experience was a wake-up call. We realized that a vacant home needs more than just a deadbolt; it needs a pulse check.
